Please let us know if you think your project - or one you know of - qualifies as an example of co-evolutionary practice. We are happy to expand this list. If you want to see your company, town, city or region on this list read about the ways our team might be able to assist you.

Use the following definition of co-evolution as a guide for assessing a potential candidate for the above list.

Co-evolution seeks to transcend the common dichotomy between technology and behaviour-orientated approaches to sustainable development. It does so by means of strategic alliances between and among providers and users of technologies who jointly define socially perceived problems and jointly seek innovative solutions. The result of this venture is a new, sufficiently large, technological regime that establishes a new range of realistic behavioural choices, including those that make the socially desired behaviour attractive. Like every successful innovation, the outcome of a co-evolutionary process must be socially embedded in local narratives and rituals.
